Virus infection

This design is for the virus inside the body. I like the idea of the virus functioning as a key to unlocking dormant strands of DNA, ultimately transforming the subject into something else entirely.

Initial location/setting scetches

I wanted the premise of the setting to be a dark dystopian future, plagued by pollution and the effects of human abuse of the earth. Again I'm thinking of stylizing the designs and characters to give it a slightly more outlandish feel.

These are some of my initial designs for the main character. I'm thinking about simplifying the design and make the beast more bizarro/ elemental (more influenced by expressionism/ cubism perhaps).
